# Censorship Trends

## Cancel culture is a problem.

Over the last year, many beloved brands have been forced to change their name, have been canceled, or have been attacked on social media.

This trend seems to be accelerating as we recently saw Disney cancel popular childhood movies such as Peter Pan, Dumbo, The Aristocrats, and The Swiss Family Robinsons.

## Growing censorship on Youtube.

Edgy content that once made YouTube great has now been demonetized or banned in order to appease advertisers.

As a result, many content creators have had to pivot to more family-friendly content such as vlogs, give up on collecting advertising revenue to stay true to themselves and their fans or move to other platforms.
